Who decides, the US president or the agencies of the nation?

You see more of military expressions of intent from government officials on the military side and Pentagon like Dempsey, Hagel, Hayden and Kirby than from the president himself, where is Obama and what does he want? The agency guys seem free to talk and use big words that normally should be the words of the nation’s leader when addressing another sovereign state and its leader, in this case Bashar al Assad with hostile messages. Pentagon and the agencies talks about addressing IS on Syrian soil, firstly by spy planes and later ground attacks saying no need for Syrian consent. But there's a but, someone (Peter Bergen) says : "If you intervene, you may be helping Iran and Hezbollah and (al-Assad's) regime" while another one (Jim Acosta) said. "This is the very definition of choosing between the lesser of two evils", in the latter case referring to al Assad's regime as evil and the question is: who is more evil of the two, Bashar al Assad or IS? To me this is the very definition of not admitting the grave error made to go against the sitting Syrian regime and support the insurgence thus giving then ISIS the possibility to grow strong. First we had the standard excuse for intervening, the WMD one and in this case 30 tons of chemical warfare to be destroyed on a diplomatic suggestion from Russia, just think about how ridiculous, when I jog 10 kilometers I will lift/move my own body more than 16000 times; with my weight that is 90 kilos it will make a weight of 1,440,000 kilos that is 1440 tons. So irrespective of how poisonous this stuff is, it is still a laughing matter and a very bad tasting excuse (after Iraq). And the propaganda against Bashar al Assad continues, no one is going to admit: we were wrong.

I think that die-hard stance will lead the region and the world into more misery and suffering. The US should step down and negotiate how to go about IS on Syrian territory with the sitting Syrian regime. If that is impossible, it is only a matter of time before Russia will step out of the dark.

Is a new Iraq looming? Is the great idea this time to use IS for an excuse to intervene ousting another cruel "dictator", Bashar al Assad. It look more ore less as the previous intervention, UN (read the world) back from vacations (when the region is burning hot) to have a crisis meeting on Syria/IS to function in the role of chaperone condoning an intervention just as before. Then we have the staunch US allies, France with it's dubious president Hollande as another Tony Blair and the ever ally, Australia. I don't think I am that far of from any NGO "tinkering" tank, without a tab from an upscale restaurant to pick up and with no "With eyes wide shut" diversion after the meeting either.

Taking out ISIS/IS and getting help from one embarassing and unwanted ally

In a previous blog post I hinted of how the US helped Syrian insurgence with money and armament to oust the regime of Bashar al Assad, primarily to give Russian president Vladimir Putin and his Russia a beating, ridding the Mediteranean from Russia's military presence. What the world got in return from such a both tactically and strategically (long term) blunder was ISIS now IS. Not the first time it happens with the US manipulating the mind of a world of lesser knowing states for it's own geopolitical hunger to control territories and it's resources while telling the rest of the western world that it is in our best interest. The most fatal and lethal blunders most people have in mind is the intervention in Iraq, then Afghanistan as they are recent and ongoing but there are so many more over the past 40 years, all of them today deemed a fail with disastrous outcome, massive loss of life and dire suffering with right-wing dictators at the helm during long periods of time as result of the "tinkering".

What I would like to say today is that what I have foreseen is happening, that is Syria and the regime of Bashar al Assad has suddenly become an ally by now turning focus towards the ISIS/IS, starting to attack and bomb the strongholds of this radical moslem movement. Read the US press today to see for yourself as I am assuming that yesterday you still felt, you still thought that the regime of Bashar al Assad was a foul regime that had to be ousted. Please do not take the eyes off countries like Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Yemen, Bahrein where we have seen Facebook/Twitter spring movements but where the situation later and in some cases after international intervention to oust a leader the situation has turned against every "good" intention. Don't see ISIS/IS as the problem and the US as the solution, you have to see US tinkering as the part of a greater problem.

A mainstream US president and the IS problem

Is the executions and decapitations by IS more horrendous than what the US government has been involved in since 9/11 more recently with their "precision" and "surgical" drone strikes in Afghanistan, Ethiopia and Yemen killing innocents, women and children? IS is probably an army of young angry men seeing their nations and families violated, raped and brutally killed by an oil and power hungry nation in the west. Obama said "People like this ultimately fail" because the future is won by those who build and not destroy" referring to the IS beheading of the US journalist Foley today - 08/20/14 a phrase that sound so hypocritical, hollow and false with hindsight way back to Vietnam, a phrase from a mainstream US president of a nation that never lived up to promises he made in the elections that rendered him the Noble peace prize before doing anything. A president that did not replace the "heads" of the agencies (read CIA, NSA etc.) to enforce his own promised policies to steer the US away from the course the George W Bush and his father had laid. US is today a country controlled by the legacy of its agencies, not by the will of its own people and it's president elect. It is a very dangerous path spiraling downwards towards the gates of hell that the late Saddam Hussein predicted to open if US would attack Iraq.

Now, a nation and a president that wants to make Russia - an ally of Syria to fail and fall like earlier in Afghanistan supporting the Muhajeddin and Osama bin Laden by supporting the so called "opposition", financing the opposition groups (read ISIS-IS) with money and weapons against what Syrian exiles claims is a good man and a guarantee for stability in Syria and its proximity, that is the Syrian president Bashar al Assad. Now with this fresh in memory watching the consequences of  manipulating the situation against Russia in Syria and watching Obama and his government (the agencies) trying to come out a as the savior of the world with missile strikes against the IS and it's rescue operations, doesn't it give you a taste of shit in the mouth? I see disaster as looming and I do not think that IS is bound to be stopped, too many angry young men and women in this world to achieve such a goal.

Of course the same is happening in Ukraine, the same painting black of Russia and it's president Putin. When there are diplomatic back-doors where most issue could be resolved in contrary to creating chaos out of political ambition.

President Obama is man with an immaculate white shirt, a silk tie, shiny polished booths, a smiley face and a mouth loaded with political rhetoric’s but behind this facade there is a scared little boy that had no idea what his tenure would become. He has done nothing to change this world towards the better. Just look at the political "crown jewel", the Palestine. Nothing. Instead throwing the whole world into turmoil, letting the agencies rule, letting companies like General Dynamics, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman and others rule, the war mongers of the nation.

I fear that this lowly writing will cause me problems at my next re-entry of the borders of the United States of America but I hope that you all, border people take it in, all with a good laugh from all the irony in the present situation presented here and let me pass on to my final destination, which will not be the territories of the United States. I will only pass through for the convenience of travel. But what the hell, I am only honest, not hostile at all.
